Semantic Knowledge Language
Markdown tells a browser how text should look. JSON tells a machine how
data should be stored. CLN is a Semantic Knowledge
Language: the symbols themselves encode what the text means to
both humans and AI.
01/The Language Spectrum
Level 1Prose: High ambiguity. Humans
guess.
Level 2Markup (MD): Visual structure. Low
semantic value.
Level 3Data (JSON): Machine logic. Human
hostile.
Level
4CLN: Semantic roles.
Human scannable, AI parsable.
02/The Semantic Triad
Architecture
= 1. Operator
(The Role): "What is this line doing?" (=, .,
!, ?)
= 2. Hash (The
Context): "Where does it fit in the graph?"
(#tags)
= 3. Metadata
(The Attribute): "What are the hard facts?"
(@owner, @date)
* Together, they
remove the "What is this?" ambiguity of prose.
03/The AI Logic Bridge
LLMs are semantic engines. CLN acts as "Pre-processed Thought":
+ Direct
Reasoning: AI skips parsing grammar and goes
straight to logic.
+ Lower
Cost: More information per token.
+ Higher
Accuracy: No "guessing" context; it is
explicitly defined.
04Start Meaning
*
Insight: We don't need more ways to make text
bold. We need ways to make text smart.
+
Action: Use CLN to transform dead documents
into queryable, intelligent nodes.
*
Self-Test: Is CLN just a markdown alternative?
|| No.
Markdown is about style; CLN is about cognitive
semantics and the role of information in thinking.
