Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR)
! Signal is what you want. Noise is everything else. @ Information Theory
In audio, signal is the music. In information theory, Signal is the data that changes your mental model. Noise is the filler that doesn't. Most prose has a low SNR, forcing the brain to burn energy filtering instead of understanding.
01/The Core Ratio
= Signal: Meaningful information (The "What").
= Noise: Irrelevant or redundant info (The "Hiss").
PROSE
CLN
02/The Prose Hiss

Traditional writing is cluttered with "cognitive filler":

- Transition phrases: "It is important to realize that..."
- Hedges: "In many cases, it could potentially be..."
! Cost: Reader's brain works overtime separating music from hiss.
03/Boosting the Transmission Signal Processing

CLN acts as a noise-reduction tool through three mechanisms:

. Operator Precision: Replaces filler with semantic symbols (!, ?).
. Visual Anchoring: Leading operators allow the eye to skip noise.
. Collapse Test: If a word doesn't add meaning, it is deleted.
04Amplify the Signal
+ Result: High SNR writing is read once and understood instantly.
- Contrast: Low SNR writing is re-read endlessly.
* Goal: Cut until the signal is clear. Then stop.
* Self-Test: Is CLN "dense" because it's complicated? || No, it is dense because it is pure signal with zero filler. ||
