Intrinsic Cognitive Load
Intrinsic Cognitive Load is the mental effort inherent in the
topic itself. It is determined by "Element Interactivity"—how many pieces of
information must be held in mind at once to understand a concept. CLN manages
this by segmenting complexity into serial steps.

02/The Segmentation Effect
Processing Mode
= Prose
(Simultaneous): Forces the brain to process all
interacting elements at once. High risk of crash.
= CLN
(Sequential): Breaks the logic into a ladder of
steps. Each step has low interactivity.
+
Result: Complex systems become navigable
through "Serial Processing."
03Causality via Vector
(→)
In v1.6, the → operator is the primary tool for reducing
interactivity per line:
→
Input: User enters password.
→
Process: Hash comparison.
→
Output: Access Token generated.
*
Note: Each line contains only 2 interacting
elements, staying well within Working Memory limits.
*
Self-Test: If I simplify the words in a text,
do I reduce Intrinsic Load? || No. You
are reducing Extraneous Load. Intrinsic Load is about
the relationship between concepts. If the logic is
complex, simple words won't change the underlying mental
'math' required. ||
